Currently residing in Rostrevor Co Down Northern Ireland, Christy's early musical influences ranged from vaudevill stage shows and old time gospel tunes to Beatles, Hank Williams, Kris Kristofferson, Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler. Follinw in the footsteps of his parents, who were a very successful and well liked comedy double act, Christy first graced the stage at the age of five singing songs from Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music. As well as extensive tours of the UK, Christy has taken his talent as far afield as Dubai (commissioned to perform for the royal family), Italy, Germany, Holland, Norway, Singapore and the USA.
His considerable songwriting and performance skills have seen him play support act to amongst others, Brian Kennedy, Mary Black, Dwight Yokum, Sean Keane, Fairport Convention and most recently Juliet Turner. Songwriting and playing live for twenty years now, Christy is concentrating on home ground with his well received CD of original material "All Growed Up". Here Christy's accomplished versatility is clear in his varied musical styles and instrumentation which always compliment the diversity of his lyrics and distinctive vocals. With his thought provoking lyrics and jovial live performing style, Christy's collection of well-crafted songs has endeared him to an ever increasing legion of fans
